MarÃa Marta Cancio
Senior PartnerMs. Cancio graduated as a lawyer at Universidad Católica Argentina in 1998 and received a Master Tax degree from the Universidad de Buenos Aires business school in 2002. He joined the firm in 2005, after having worked for another important Buenos Aires firm (Allende & Brea).
Ms. Cancio has specialized in tax law and exchange control regulations, advising on tax planning and on tax aspects in mergers and acquisitions, for local and international clients. Ms. Cancio also represents clients in proceedings against the revenue services.
Ms. Cancio is member of the Argentine association of tax firms since 1999.
Ms. Cancio has lectured at International Bar Association conferences. She is author of articles for domestic journals. Her articles include: "Argentina-Leveraged Buyouts and Interest Deduction","Tax Implications of Loss Absorptions and Dividend Distributions", "Revisiting the Taxation of Cross-Border Technology Transfer Agreements", "The Argentine Approach to Attributing Profits to Permanent Establishments" and "Tax Aspects of the Remuneration of High Profile Executives".
Ms. Cancio is member of the Argentine association of tax firms since 1999.
