He obtained his law degree from the Universidad de Buenos Aires (LL.B., Magna Cum Laude, 1963).

In his professional practice, he has devoted himself exclusively to business law, advising and representing local and international clients, being responsible for the conduct and coordination of significant business, corporate, banking and financial matters, foreign investments, insurance businesses, stock purchase and shareholders' agreements, joint ventures, mergers and spin-offs, transfers of technology, and oil and gas contracts. He has vast experience in debt rescheduling and business reorganization schemes, as well as in the legal representation and conduction of bids, bankruptcies and other commercial litigation issues. He had an active role in the process of privatization of State-owned companies, especially in the telecommunication, gas distribution and transportation, hydrocarbon exploration and exploitation, and banking and financial fields.

He is a member of the Buenos Aires Bar Association, the International Bar Association, Business Lawyers Association (Chairman, 1988-1992), Argentine Association of Telecommunications; founder and member of the Argentine Association of Energy and Natural Resources; member of the Arbitration Panel of the Argentine Industrial Union; lecturer of many of the above-mentioned associations and of the Banking Lawyers Committee of Argentina. He is a member serving as general or special counsel to the Board of Directors or Supervisory Committee of over twenty leading companies.
